- Company Expects to Add Up to $600,000 in Annual Airline Ticket Sales by
Year-End -
SHENZHEN, China and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 04 /-FirstCall/ --
Universal Travel Group (OTC Bulletin Board: UTVG), which through its wholly
owned subsidiary Yu Zhi Lu Aviation Service Company Ltd. ("YZL") operates
as a China-based aviation services company, announced today that during the
third quarter ended September 30, 2006, the Company added 10 new franchise
airplane ticket sales offices to their sales network. YZL anticipates an
additional 20 Company-owned airplane ticket sales offices will open by
years end. These newly constructed offices and franchise opportunities are
expected to increase the Companys tickets sales volume to 100,000 airplane
tickets in 2006. The new sales offices will increase the Companys total
sales network to more than 100 Company-owned operating offices and
franchise companies.
Jiangping Jiang, President and CEO of Universal Travel Group, said,
"The addition of the new sales offices in Northern, Southern, and Southwest
China adds a brick-and-mortar sales channel to areas that could only
previously be serviced by a call center or online channels. By establishing
a physical location in these regions, we can more effectively obtain
nationwide coverage through increased accessibility to our services. Based
on the success of our franchise business model, our expanded sales network
has the potential to increase ticket revenues by approximately $400,000 to
$600,000 beginning in 2007."
Simultaneously, the Company intends to expand its sales network
coverage area to include both Chinas Northern and Southern regions, with
epicenters located in large and mid-sized metropolitan areas.
Representative cities by region include Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Southern
China; Beijing and Shanghai in Northern China; and Chengdu, Kunming, and
Chongqing in Southwestern China. Universals management believes that the
new offices and expanded coverage network will allow the Company to
increase its gross airplane ticket sales by 100,000 units each year
beginning in 2007.
