LLP, a top real estate and business law firm, has hired two highly-regarded
real estate attorneys, Louis K. Raymond and James P. Mullen.

Mr. Raymond specializes in retail and commercial leasing and
acquisition/disposition. He works on large-scale commercial transactions,
representing buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants, and companies from a
wide range of industries including commercial developers, financial service
providers, public utilities, restaurant operators, law firms, entertainment
companies and shopping mall operators. Additionally, Mr. Raymond has
handled specialty leasing in the telecommunications industry.
Previously, Mr. Raymond served as in-house counsel for The Walt Disney
Company in Burbank, Calif. His primary responsibilities included the real
estate legal work for the ESPN Zone sports-themed restaurant chain, and the
Downtown Disney retail project in Anaheim. Mr. Raymond joined Garrett
DeFrenza Stiepel in January 2006.
Mr. Mullen specializes in development-related acquisition and
entitlement, commercial and industrial leasing, and real estate financing.
On behalf of developers, investors and property owners, Mr. Mullen handles
purchase and sale, option and exchange transactions. He has experience in
all aspects of office, retail and industrial leasing. Mr. Mullen represents
lenders and borrowers in secured financing matters related to acquisition,
construction, and permanent financing of development properties and
commercial, industrial and retail buildings.
In February 2006, Mr. Mullen joined Garrett DeFrenza Stiepel, after
leaving the San Diego office of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP, an
international law firm.
