the Freedom Institute and Ms. Maryann Lee, Executive Director of Freedom
Institute, has granted the honor of General Chair for Freedom Weekend V to
Robert Shumake, CEO/president of Inheritance Investment Group.

Mr. Shumake states that he is thrilled to be a part of this auspicious
weekend celebrating the Power Economics Summit; Diversity in the Auto
Industry; the Career Development & Education Symposium; the Economics,
Social Justice & Political Empowerment and the Business Leaders Reception.
Rounding out this positive constructive weekend are the Youth Forums and
various expos such as Homeownership, Small Business Networking, Health
Empowerment, Math and Science Exhibitions.
Robert Shumakes ability to use his vast and many corporate contacts
has taken Freedom Weekend to new heights. His astuteness in bringing
interested sponsors anxious to participate, has allowed Freedom Weekend to
expand, embellish and improve upon its programs. Mr. Shumake has been
tireless about educating the community about building wealth, the art of
the deal and how to launch a business, giving insight to not only those
interested in the real estate industry but anyone with business
aspirations. He has made himself assessable to talk about his experiences
as a young entrepreneur as well as talk about his unique life.
Mr. Shumake is passionate about helping the community understand that
it takes unity to accomplish the goals needed in putting the community on
sound financial footing. "It takes unity of thought and purpose to rid our
communities of the negative images that have been fostered upon us," states
Mr. Shumake. With missionary fervor, he is always speaking about the varied
and different ways that make us unique human beings; however we must be
united and resolute in what our legacy will be to our children.
Mr. Shumake ardently believes that our future is dependent upon the
youth. Mr. Shumake has said many times that he was truly blessed in being
raised in a mansion by a Queen. His family did not dwell on the situation
that they were in, but instead focused on the affirmative position of where
they were in their lives on that day. Mr. Shumake is driven to see that our
youth will compete on a level playing field in the game of life. That is
why giving back to ones community is a central tenet of Mr. Shumakes own
life. He realizes the importance of education as a tool for success and has
established the Robert S. Shumake Family Foundation Relays
(http://www.shumakerelays.com), which raises money for collegiate
scholarship for High School students. The unity of family that he had in
his life has indeed inspired all of Mr. Shumake triumphs in the business
world.
So let us greet Robert S. Shumake, the General Chair for Freedom
