WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Nov. 29 /-FirstCall/ -- The PMI Group,
Inc. (NYSE: PMI) announced today that it has promoted William Levinthal to
Vice President and Assistant General Counsel.
Levinthal joined PMIs legal department in 2003 focusing on litigation,
as well as domestic and international mortgage insurance structured
transactions and claims management.
"Bills legal knowledge, negotiating skills, and ability to see all
sides of an issue have been and will continue to be valuable assets for PMI
and its shareholders," said Vic Bacigalupi, Executive Vice President,
General Counsel, and Chief Administrative Officer. "His promotion is well
deserved."
Levinthal has more than 15 years experience in litigation. Prior to
joining PMI, he was an associate at Friedemann Goldberg in Santa Rosa and,
before that, at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP, focusing on general
commercial litigation with an emphasis on insurance and real estate.
Levinthal has a BA from San Francisco State University and a JD from
University of California Hastings College of the Law, also in San
Francisco.
